CONNECTING TWO WINGS
Existing Hotel has separated two buildings hugging a semi-enclosed courtyard with a pool. East wing is the original 2-story masonry building. The Owner purchased this and added the east wing: a 2-story prefab wood frame building. Owner wishes to connect them and add one more story for additional bedrooms. Under the new ring of bedrooms, the connection will house enlarged lobby.
Our design adopts the difference between two buildings, not their styles, but the gap of heights and angles, energizing the façade as a communication between them.
